Mass unemployment, social injustice and deplorable living conditions in some regions of Brazil in global reports show a timid growth. To perform the study used an exploratory research with qualitative approach in the analysis of central bank reports from brazil and other internal reports and also compared with annual reports issued by the united nations. The profile of borrowers is very similar to the profile of entrepreneurs specially when comparing income and geographical location. However, microcredit is important for creating jobs but the government needs to implement other anti-poverty programs and create new assistance projects to achieve satisfactory results.
